A) About Cows

Black Leg

This illness attacks to the young cows, for 3 months until 3 years. Is produce by a bacterium. The symptoms are: inflammation in the rear legs, in the back or in the chest, sometimes other muscles or the throat are inflammation too, or even doesn’t appear any symptom.

Bovine Mastitis

It´s a common sickness of dairy cows is an infectious and contagious sickness caused for bacteria of different types that cause an infection in the mammary glands.

Bovine Viral Diarrhea

It is a viral disease of cattle, is transmitted in several ways. Either through a congenital infection of the fetus or after birth. Congenital infections may cause resorption, abortion, stillbirth, or live-birth.

BRSV (Bovine Respiratory Syncytial Virus)

A sometimes fatal, stress-related infection which can cause mild to severe respiratory disease and reduce the animal's resistance to other diseases. Signs include coughing, high fever, and runny eyes and nose.

Heel erosion 

Debris can become packed down between the sole layers causing lameness.

Show 1: Pit bulls & Parolees
I like this show because I am interested in animals that most people say that they are dangerous, but really they do not. Pitbulls are an example of this, I know a lot that are friendly and loving. You
have to watch it because is so important to know the truth about the animals and their character.

Show 2: The Aquarium 
This show shows you about the sea animals, not just the aquarium. It shows penguins, octopus, whales, turtles, etc. I like it because in this show they rescue a lot of animals that are in danger. The reason why you should watch it is that this videos are very funny like "penguins in love". 

Show 3: Dr Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet
I admire the vocation of this doctor to work with animals in the mountain. He work with different animals like wild animals and little animals like cats or dogs. I like to work in something like this in the future. If you watch it, maybe you want to be a veterinary. Or only for entertainment.

My Career

When I was a little girl, I dreamed that I was a superwoman or a police officer, I don’t know but I loved it (who don’t love a life like this?)  but when I grew up I realized that this wasn’t what I thought.  

When I stayed in four grade of secondary, my list of options was so long, but at the end the most awesome to me are veterinary medicine, nutrition or medical technology. Nevertheless, one day, a car crashed a dog in front of me, and I felt so sad because I did not know how to help him. In this moment, I prefered veterinary medicine from other options. 

My experience with the university is limited because I recently know the U, but in this short time I feel comfortable with my partners, but with a little of stress with the class and study. I think that  most people here have stress and is important search a solution for this, because it is so exhausting.

I hope to work with big animals when I finish this career and live in a jungle or something like this, I would be very happy living in this way.
